All the Goss! (Show's 'n Such)

It's been busy here at Troubadour Records, but good things are in the works!
Alex James' new EP "up and up" is being stamped and shipped out as we speak and will be available within the month!

In celebration Alex is flying to Adelaide, Australia where we've scheduled the Alex James EP Release Party at La Boheme in Adelaide on the 20th of November! (His birthday)
Doors will open at 6pm, Alex will go on at 7pm and after some songs, hijinx and shenanigans he'll wrap it up at 8:30.
And best of all IT'S A FREE SHOW!

We've also scheduled a Songwriting & Artist Development Masterclass in Adelaide four days later on the 24th from 7pm to 9pm at the DP Guitar School in Adelaide (89 Goodwood rd., Goodwood, Adelaide).
Given that Troubadour Records has it's sights set on expanding into Australia to help further the exchange of artists between our two countries, we thought it only appropriate to jump right in and start getting everyone involved!
It's sure to be fun and informative to all that attend!
Tickets may be purchased through the Troubadour Records webstore...

Progress!

Good day fellow readers!
Just a quick update about the continuing fight in the war against the subjugation of music!
We've been hot on the trail to find like-minded organizations to help us bridge the global musical gap and have recently started to see returns on our sweat equity investments.
We now have a few corporate sponsors on board to help us along and are thrilled they're along for the journey!

You may say, "But I can get any music I want from around the globe as it is. What are you doing!?"
And our response is, you're right! You are able to download most any music you'd like, indulging yourself at any given moment. However, it's the artists themselves we're interested in. After all, that's our business! If they're not able to connect, or tour, or have access to a broader range of network connections they'll be stifling their art, and ultimately depriving their audience!

We here at Troubadour Records don't want to see this happen, hence, it's why we're putting so much time and resources into creating the rAdelaide All Things Music Master Class & Showcase!

As with anything, you have to start somewhere and we've decided to start in Adelaide, Australia! We love it there and think Adelaide is a reservoir of untapped talent. As of recently we've all seen Adelaide native Orianthi rocket to stardom with her amazing guitar talents, and we assure you there's much more waiting in the wings there.

That being said, we're all ecstatic to get the ATM Master Class & Showcase underway and want to sincerely thank all the people and organizations involved already in helping us and these deserving artists to connect with a larger community.

More to come!

Thanks!

STREET TEAM INFO

According to Wikipidia, "street team is a term used in marketing to describe a group of people who 'hit the streets' promoting an event or a product."

Troubadour Records is looking to start a Street Team to help promote the "All Things Music" Master Class & Showcase in Adelaide, Australia coming this November!

What's involved is first signing up as an A.T.M. Street Team member (a web page will be posted here for this soon).
We'll e-mail you things like flyers to print out and post around town or to give to friends and family that you think would like to attend this event. We'll also be asking for your ideas on how to make this a more productive event for Adelaide artists and music professionals who'll be attending.
It's a straight forward concept that also has membership benefits!

Not only will we be offering free shwag (promotional goodies), but Street Team members will also be invited to an exclusive "wrap" after-party with the guests of this event!

Please stop back within the week for information on how to sign up for the A.T.M. Official Street Team!
You can also keep apprised of all goings-on at our Facebook Page.
Thanks so much!

New Projects!!!

Hi All!

I just wanted to take the opportunity to express our excitement over a couple of new projects currently being worked on here at Troubadour Records!

We're back at it again with Mr. Soren of Sydney, Australia! We've started in on another one of Soren's great worship rock tunes called "Have No Fear" that will surely rival or possibly out do the previous one we finished not too long ago. We're extremely excited to finish kicking out the jams on this one! It has already surpassed our expectations and we hope he loves it as much as us.

Also on the docket is a new-comer to Troubadour Records, Miss Kate Harrison!
A lovely, talented, and well diversified woman who, even while being cast in the current production of Miss Saigon in her home city of Adelaide, Australia and all her other endeavors, still finds the time to hone her serious songwriting chops that we all here are excited to be producing!
At the moment Kate and all of us here have started in on production of a soulful ballad entitled "Someone Like Me" that is sure to turn heads. Welcome Kate!!!

In other news, after recently finishing a treatment on a Docu-travel television series we've started pre-production meetings with colleagues in Los Angeles. The show involves a host traveling the globe in search of some amazing talent and the instruments they play, ultimately utilizing the techniques, sounds, and inspiration he finds along the way to finish producing his own album's worth of material.
There'll be a lot riding on it and hopefully that's what will be conveyed. OH THE DRAMA!!!

For now, thanks for checking in!

New Year, New Work!

Hi All!

Just wanted to wish everyone a great new year and all the best for it!
It's been a wild ride thus far and it's sure to get wilder!
At the moment we here at Troubadour Records have taken on a few more new clients to be named in the near future, but as it sets now they' are all extremely talented in their own right. And we here are very happy and honored to be working so closely with them on their projects.
Also, there are a few other endeavors Troubadour Records is getting into that at the moment are being played somewhat close to the vest, but again I assure you as soon as everything's set there will be quite the hoopla made about them.
For now though, have a safe and happy new year!
