*Update* Soren's Song

As of December 9th, the Troubadour Records team has finished assembling and editing a basic mix for Soren to take with him to his Sydney session coming up for vocal tracking. Below is a compilation of clips of the instrumental version he'll be taking with him.
Best of luck Soren!

Work, Work, Work! a.k.a.- Play, Play, Play!

We here at Troubadour Records find the old adage of, "Find something you love to do and you'll never work a day in your life," to be so true.
We just recently have gotten the opportunity to produce a wonderful song for a great fellow in Sydney, Australia named Soren. It's a wonderful Worship song that we're looking forward to working on and getting to him in the next couple of weeks so he can enjoy laying down the vocals for it.
Miss Kirsty Roberts of the Troubadour team has brought us the foundation and now it's the rest of the team's job to flesh it out and give it a high-gloss shine! And I can't express enough how great it will be to do just that.
As was suggested, it's not really work when you love it so much.

Coming Soon!

A store!
That's right, an e-commerce store right here at Troubadour Records.
Can't make a show? Did your long lost sibling show up and you think it would be bad form to leave him in front of the T.V. for a few hours while you attended our shows? Well either bring him along or hop on our swank-a$$ website and have a browse at all the cool swag we'll have at the shows!
Better yet, hop on the site BEFORE the show to PRE-ORDER, select the "Will Pick-Up" shipment option, grab your supposed sibling, then just come to the show with a printed receipt and violá! The swag is yours.
Good times!

Hallelujah! Praise Jebus! It works in IE!

Okay Microsoft (a.k.a.- The Evil Empire), I have spent easily 100+ hours trying to figure out a creative way to embed one teensie weensie div into a place where you obviously didn't want.

If anyone wonders why I'm a Mac guy, this is it! Safari ate it up! It took my creative solutions like a trooper!
But noooOOOoo, IE and it's 75% market share have to be picky.

Well IE, who's had the last laugh now!? That's right, it's this guy!
Oh yeah, I've double and triple checked that it works in you, as well as Firefox and Opera.

Take that IE!

Uh!

PS- I would like to thank Mr. Jesse "IT" Yarbrough for all his help in the optimization and creative solutions in helping me get this site up and running! Thanks man!

Dude's T's!

Alternative Apparel Men's Burnout Tee
The dude's T-shirts have been purchased!
I could have gone and picked them up today but I thought I'd extend the excitement and wait until tomorrow when I have more reason to travel into town.
Not sure how I want the logo placed though. Scroll down to see the ideas.

Screen printing next week!

Damn you CSS!

It seems as though after all my confidence in having nipped the fading pictures issue in the bud, it was in vain. It only seems to be working in Safari.
Back to the old page for now.

Fixed or not to be fixed? That is the question.

I think I've fixed the bug whereby the main fading pictures load correctly.
It's taken some "creative" coding so as not to interfere with other junk on the page but it should work.

If you read this blog and noticed that there wasn't a big picture that faded to others when you first arrived please let us know here at Troubadour Records. Either comment below or just shoot us an e-mail  at troubadourrecords@troubadourrecords.com
We would greatly appreciate it!
Much thanks,

Houston, we (may) have a problem...

I'm back from the gym, burning off some of this energy that has built up over the weekend from sitting in front of a computer screen writing/dorking with java script and css files.

I've learned that there may be a problem when loading this site, where the main picture slide show in fact doesn't load in certain browsers. I'm testing it now to see if that is or isn't the case. It may be a simple issue of image file size. If so, no worries mateys! I'll have it fixed in no time.

Also, finishing up projects this week (of the music kind), purchasing t-shirts for screen printing, and researching point-of-sale accounts and hardware.
Good times!

Can't wait for the September 18th show at Ovations in Rice Village, Houston!
T-shirts, cd's, great music from both Zen Archer and the Alexander James Band!

EUREEEK-AH!

I don't know exactly how I was able to put it off, but there are now accordion style menus in the "ABOUT" section AND the main page's picture is a slideshow!
It took me all weekend and up until RIGHT NOW to figure out Java script and Cascading Style Sheets (or rather "SHEEETZ").
Okay, time to get back to being a musician.
